My challenge with this sunflower is to express the intense and lively colors that make the sunflower so loved. I also hope, in my flower paintings, to convey my response to the flower, to share its personality and the joy I feel painting my flowers. I develop a relationship with each painting …and as a relationship it can go through many stages.
